Martini Break - The Pomegranate Martini

Here we go again! It’s time for another fabulous martini recipe! This time, let’s try an exotic blend….the Pomegranate Martini. Over the past few years, the pomegranate has become the “IT” fruit, and rightfully so. The fruit is an excellent source of vitamin C and fiber, and also provides iron and calcium. It is also high in antioxidants, which may slow or prevent the development of cancer. While this martini recipe does not contain a great amount of pomegranate juice, I encourage you to try different variations of the fruit, sans the alcohol!

In the meantime, check out this recipe!

2 oz of Your Favorite Vodka
1 oz of Pomegranate Juice (100% Juice)
1 oz of Pomegranate Liqueur
Orange Wedges (for garnish)

-          In a shaker, combine ice, juice, liqueur, and vodka mixture. Shake!
-          Strain mixture into a chilled martini glass.
-          Garnish with an orange wedge.

Now sit back, relax, and drink your martini….or martinis… no judgment! Drink responsibly!
